Clippers close out homestand vs. Thunder
Basketball Betting Lines
03/05/2010 -
(Sportsbook Betting Lines) - The Oklahoma City Thunder hope to get back into the win
column when they continue a three-game road trip Friday against the Los Angeles Clippers at Staples Center.
The Thunder suffered a 119-90 loss at Denver on Wednesday, as All-Star Kevin
Durant and rookie James Harden had 19 points apiece in a losing cause. Serge
Ibaka came up with 15 points and 13 boards for Oklahoma City, which had won
three in a row and 12 of 14 overall entering the contest. It was Durant's
lowest scoring output since he posted 13 points in a loss to Houston on
December 19.
"They made shots and we couldn't come down and get the shots we wanted. A
great team like them, they executed," said Durant of the lopsided loss.
Russell Westbrook finished with 11 points in defeat. The Thunder are sixth in
the Western Conference and will close out the road swing on Sunday at
Sacramento. Oklahoma City is 17-13 as the visitor this season.
Los Angeles will close out a three-game homestand this evening and has lost
three of its last four games. In a 127-101 setback versus the Phoenix Suns on
Wednesday, All-Star Chris Kaman finished with 24 points and nine rebounds, and
Eric Gordon ended with 21 points.
Rasual Butler netted 16 points, while Steve Blake and Drew Gooden each
contributed 14 for the Clippers, who are 1-1 on the residency and 18-13 in
Hollywood this season.
"It was a good first half, but I was disappointed in our third quarter," said
Clippers coach Kim Hughes, whose squad was outscored 39-18 in the third
stanza. "We rushed shots. They pounded us on the boards. We've got some work
to do."
The 2009-10 season series between the Thunder and Clippers is tied at a game
apiece. LA has won 13 of the last 20 contests between the teams.

MySportsbook.com week 1 NFL lines
Now that the 2008 NFL schedule is finally out, it is only matter-of-course for lines on “Week 1” to follow. Of course MySportsbook.com is the first to churn out odds for the NFL’s inaugural week for the upcoming season. Expect a lot of fireworks the first Thursday night of the season as the defending champion Indianapolis Colts face off against the surprise of the 2008 season, the New Orleans Saints. These teams were ranked #1 and #3 in the NFL respectively a season ago so a high scoring affair could be in order. As of now, the Colts will be giving 6 points to the Saints; keep in mind the Saints were one of the better road teams last season going 6-3 SU and 7-2 ATS. The first Monday night of the season will again provide a “double feature”. Coming off a disappointing season, the Cincinnati Bengals will look to get back to playoffs and improve their public image as they take on the AFC North favorite Baltimore Ravens. The second game features a couple of teams that haven’t had too much success recently but each could make some noise if the NFC is as weak as it was last year as the San Francisco 49ers host the Arizona Cardinals. The most interesting game of the opening week will feature the NFC champion Bears as they hit the road to take on the NFL’s top team during last year’s regular season, the San Diego Chargers.
