Durant, Thunder bounce back against Clippers

Basketball Betting Lines

03/06/2010 - Los Angeles, CA (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Kevin Durant poured in 32 points and pulled down nine rebounds as Oklahoma City topped the Los Angeles Clippers, 104-87, at Staples Center.

James Harden tallied 17 points, while Russell Westbrook had a great all-around effort with 15 points, nine assists, seven steals and six rebounds. Jeff Green ended with 14 points and Nenad Krstic added 13 with 11 boards for the Thunder, who bounced back from a 119-90 Wednesday loss at Denver to win for the fourth time in five contests.

"Our defense has gotten us this far and it helped us tonight," Harden said. "We were able to get some steals that led to some easy baskets."

The Thunder held an 18-2 advantage in fast-break points.

Chris Kaman had 19 points and 15 rebounds for the Clippers, who have lost two straight and four of five. Craig Smith also scored 19, while Rasual Butler ended with 17 for Los Angeles, which shot 37.2 percent from the field.

"Our energy was better in the second half," Clippers coach Kim Hughes said. "It's tough to win a game when your guards are shooting 6-for-28. We've got to bail each other out on defense."

There wasn't much to cheer on the Clippers' side. Their last lead of the game came at 4-2 on a Butler layup. The Thunder scored 11 in a row later in the first quarter for a 17-6 cushion. Krstic had three straight baskets during the burst and it was 31-21 after 12 minutes.

The Clippers got within four a few times in the second, but trailed 53-46 at the break.

A three-pointer by Butler had the hosts within 68-64 with 4:07 left in the third, but Oklahoma City netted the ensuing eight points, culminated by a Westbrook layup.

Oklahoma City led 78-69 moving to the fourth and essentially put the game away by scoring the opening eight points of the final frame.
